Blood Pressure Checks NHS
If you are over 40 years old and NOT on BP medication you may be eligible for a free NHS BP check. Please contact Pharmacy to check eligibility. High blood pressure (hypertension) affects 1 in 3 adults in the UK. If left untreated it can cause heart problems, strokes and damage to vital organs. Therefore, it’s crucial to be aware of the risks and how you can reduce them. That’s where we can help.
A blood pressure test is a simple way of checking if someone’s blood pressure is too high or too low. They can identify high-blood pressure, low-blood pressure, pulse and irregular heart rate.
We offer free NHS blood pressure testing for those who are 40 years and over without a diagnosis of high blood pressure (hypertension), or those referred by their GP to us for blood pressure monitoring.
If you do not qualify for the NHS free blood pressure test we can check blood pressure for £5.
Because hypertension often has no symptoms, it is known as the "silent killer". Monitoring it regularly helps catch high blood pressure early, preventing heart attacks and strokes.
