Emergency supply of prescription-only medication
Where it is deemed clinically appropriate by our Pharmacist, we are able to supply Emergency Medication. Please note certain types and classes of medicines cannot be provided. There may be a charge for your medicines. Please contact Pharmacy for details.
We provide emergency supply of prescription medication under the NHS. The pharmacist will clinically assess each case to determine if an emergency supply is necessary. This medication has to be on your repeat medications list, and not all medications such as strong narcotics or sedatives can be given under emergency supply. You still may be charged for this NHS service if you normally pay for your medications.
If you are not covered by the NHS we can still provide an emergency supply, we will need proof you have taken this medication previously and regularly within the last 6 months. This will be at the prescribing pharmacist's discretion and cost may vary depending on the medication and quantity.
