Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) - Pharmacy First
Pharmacy First allows patients to access advice and treatment for uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) in women aged between 16 and 64. If required our Pharmacist may prescribe you antibiotics. If you have a UTI and are not covered by the NHS we can provide this service privately.

This is a NHS service for non-pregnant women aged between 16 to 64 years old. If you are showing signs of a UTI such as:
Increased urination
Urinating more frequently at night
Burning or painful sensation when urinating
Cloudy or foul-smelling urine
Urinating small amounts
You can speak to one of our pharmacists in-store or book an appointment.
We can provide nitrofurantoin capsules (antibiotics) for those with UTIs if clinically deemed necessary. Exclusions may apply such as if you are pregnant, diabetic, immunocompromised, showing signs of a kidney infection/sepsis, have had recent UTI infections within the last 3-6 months, or if you have recurrent UTIs.
If you are not covered by the NHS, we can provide this service privately with the same exclusions as above, we can offer trimethoprim if needed.
